[God's people] focus their attention on Christ and His sacrifice. At Calvary, Christ died to redeem lost humanity and to destroy sin. On the basis of Calvary, He now intercedes and judges. Those who cling to the Cross receive deliverance, and those who refuse the Cross choose to be destroyed. It is the reception or rejection of Calvary that determines human destiny. This is why there is no fear in this judgment for Christ's followers--there is only great rejoicing!
Do you fear the coming judgment? Some do, but there is no need to fear if you remain in a relationship of love with the Judge. Remember it is the Crucified One who is in charge of the judgment. During the adjudication process, He is still interceding for those who depend on Him and love Him. Let Christ wrap His mighty arms of love around you and hold you close. It's worth repeating---His perfect love casts out fear (see 1 John 4:18).
